Kwagga, House Escher Gunfighter

I've had a few of the great Necromunda 2017 Escher minis built and primed/partially painted for a number of years. Kwagga, this cool Underhive gunfighter chick, is the first to be finished because I finally just forced myself focus on her. Apparently, I've finished her just in time for some NEW Necromunda minis to come out. I've still got several Eschers (and other gangs) unbuilt on the sprues, not to mention at least one ancient metal Escher with a shotgun.

The first part to be painted was her hair, it's been done for a couple years. I thought a mix of blues would look good with the planned red of her armor. I'm not planning an actual gang, so once other Eschers get painted they will likely not match. But that is fine.

I originally planned to make her pants and chest armor really bright red. Sadly, she was primed in dark dark grey and then drybrushed with a couple of lighter greys before I added the first couple of layers of red. The results were disappointing, so I came in with some light pink to help give some support to a red. In the end, I just made it as red as I could without the paint going too chunky.

The Raging Heroes Jailbird is one of the reasons I haven't focused on the Escher minis I've got, the Jailbirds are sort of like less fashionable Eschers.
