Fist Servitors (Warmachine Mechanithralls)

 Project Servitor continues with three Warmachine Mechanithralls painted up as dual-powerfist wielding unaligned servitors. They can be random servitors for whoever needs them or, perhaps, there will be a new warband built around them when the inspiration creeps in.

I've had one of these from back in the olden days when Warmachine first came out. I never got around to painting it. A recent trip to a game store that had some ancient blisters with the original price tag prices practically jumped off the shelf. I picked up a pack of 2 more of these and a pack of three Scrap Thralls (I've had another pack of the scrap thralls for just as long, so more minis to play around with for conversions).

I decided to use some of the weirdly-sized 27mm Star Wars Legion scenic bases so these guys would fit better (a 25mm base would have their feet sticking off the base too much and I dislike the original Warmachine rounded edge bases). I added a little bit of texture paste in areas just give someplace to add some rust.

For these three 'fistitors' (it's a working title), I was tempted to snip off their skulls and do some kind of head replacement. I decided the sculpts were pretty nice as they are, so they remained unmolested by hobby clippers and knives. This last guy,, especially, is a pose I really like.

Now that they're finished, I've got the possibility of doing some pit fights or other shennagians.
