Wednesday Wizards 5 - Timothus

The last Wednesday Wizard of 2025. Another Bones figure. This Enchanter got a little paint off and on the past couple years, but I could never decide exactly what colors I wanted him. Did I want to match the famous Wizard from a certain movie that seems to have inspired the sculpt? Not really, because it's been done.

I think the Wednesday Wizards stunt was secretly planned by my subconscious to make me finally finish him. Thanks subconscious. I really like how the skulls came out. Since he's an old-style vague-detail white Bones figure, I didn't really try to paint terribly cleanly. The washes helped hide these sins.

His snake staff almost was replaced several times, but it seemed like more trouble than it would be worth. I think it turned out okay. Of course, for his open tome of forbidden knowledge, there needed to be some writing. Another entry into my vague suggestion of hieroglyphics body of work.

His base is another of the Mocro-Art Studios/CoolMiniOrNot plastic fancy bases Kickstarter. This also turned out way better than I expected with very little effort. I used some splotches of various grey-greens over a dark grey basecoat. Then the washes followed by some highlights and some mixes of various aqua paints for a few of the "stripes" on the floor.

Here we have the Wednesday Wizards of December assembled to tackle some unfathomable threat. My little photo-box is not qute big enough to accompany them all- plus Tim's pose and base contribute to this.

And here's Tim with a Cursed Coty Hanging Skeleton and a Warmachine undead knight.
