Eisenkern Test Figures
These were all assembled and started a long while ago, then they were placed into the box for the Minismith Roulette stunt. Then they were pulled out and debased from the kind of flat 30mm rounded edge bases to my more preferred 25mm bases. These are the original Eisenkern Stormtroopers from the ancient Kickstarter, not the more recent version from Wargames Atlantic.
They were originally going to be in sort of bronze armor, but since the initial paint steps on a few of them, I changed my mind. The armor from the Star Wars Bad Batch show has slowly made it's way into my subconscious. The variations of each character's armor helped me realize that was the way the Eisenkern armor should go. I think they might be useful as some Inquisition troopers or just random troops for larger tabletop battles.
This first one was the first finished. I didn't go overboard with the customized armor bits and the main armor bits were a mid grey. I like the red stripes on his left side. No helmet, so he's probably someone in charge.
Next up was the Ada special figure that came with the Leviathan Kickstarter as a stretch goal. She was the first one to get the bronze armor, I decided to leave her right shoulder that way to see how it would look. Instead of her big antitank weapon I decided she should get one of the smaller weapons because I really like how they look.
Then we have the three "normal" troopers. Each one got a little different personal markings- or maybe they're specific unit markings that will be expanded into future builds of the figures.
This first trooper got a yellow and black checkerboard on his shin, because it looks pretty cool. I wanted to do something to the mask part and decided light grey would look good.
Next came this guy with the targeter helmet. He also got the light grey facemask treatment.
Finally another Ada this time with a targeted helmet and the anti-tank weapon. Her facemask got a nice red that also looks good. On her left side I put a couple of chevrons to see how they would look. Not bad.
