Vampire Man Bat (Reaper Bones)

Another random monster mini from one of the bloated Reaper Bones Kickstarter campaigns I still have way too much stuff from. This time, a Nosferatu vampire bat guy. 

this guy is made of the early bendy Bones material that was very difficult to remove mold lines from. Luckily, most of the offending lines on him were easily cut off with a fresh scalpel blade. But that integral base was a bit TOO integral. It was going to be next to impossible to remove, leaving his feet and pinning him to a regular 25mm base. Instead, I got a flat Warlord or Northstar base and trimmed the integral base to fit on it. I filled in the little gap with my homemade texture paste and set about painting.

The painting was fairly quick and dirty. I used progressively lighter browns by drybushing up to a fleshy color. Then a layer of wash followed by a few highlights/touchoups here and there to get a kind of gross undead monster look.

The Man Bat is versatile enough to use in all of the settings, possibly even Battletech?
