Minismith Roulette 12- Harv Q and Bodyguards

It has been over a year since the last installment of Miismith Roulette (loosely based on Goobertown's painting roulette). Let's take a look at the roll!

So this means the Odds side of the partially painted minis box. Then, the first row. Finally, the second cell! This was full of a mix of Void miniatures, a Colony 87 guy, and a Hasslefree not-Squat.

I decided on the Colony 87 guy and the two Void VASA Militia guys. This grouping was originally gathered together to be the head of a Tech Bazaar criminal faction and his bodyguards.

L to R: VASA Militia, Colony 87 tech seller, VASA Militia, Hasslefree not-Squat, Void not-Space Wolf

The first guard is Steppenwulf. He looks a little undead, something I noticed when I was painting him. That led to me thinking more about the backstory for the trio. Maybe they're technologically supported undead. Steppenwulf's coat got a simple aged leather effect that I think came out okay.

The next guard is Santos. He doesn't look quite as undead, but I'm still thinking that might be an interesting way to go with them. Santos' own jacket also got a slightly different aged leather effect that also turned out okay.

Finally, we've got the vicious criminal mastermind Harv Q (name inspired by an Urban Dance Squad song). Harv was originally just going to be a regular guy, but when I started painting I thought maybe the thing around his neck could be a breathing device. Maybe he would be an aquatic alien guy who needs a water gas mask for his gills. Then, with his light blueish skin and Steppenwulf's undead look, Harv became more likely a tech supported undead guy.

So now Harv and his boys are ready to join the ever-growing population of the Tech Bazaar. Plus, the Roulette box is a little lighter.
