Witchburner General from Trench Crusade
From the first Trench Crusade Kickstarter, the one with some awesome minis, comes the Witchburner General. This was one of the figures that helped me decide to back that Kickstarter. He's supposed to have a cane, but either I lost it when I opened up the baggie, or it got lost at the source. Either way, not a huge deal when you've got decades of bits to sift through for an alternative right hand. Somehow I had a pistol-sword bit from some GW kit. It looked good, so it went on.
the original art for the Witchburner General has him in all red. I don't usually go with the 'official' color scheme for minis, but reds seemed right- like a battlefield cardinal. I tried to use different shades of reds for his cape and outfit and metallic armor. I think they came out pretty good.
With the sword-pistol and his striding forward pose, he makes me think of a Catholic Darth Vader. I'm pretty happy with how he's turned out. I don't know if I'll actually build a Trench Crusade specific warband, but he will definitely do as an Inquisitor for INQ28 stuff. I avoided making the "I" on his two tilt shields, just barely.
Above, the Witchburner General joins our usual size comparison subjects. Below, a gathering of some likely Inquisitors, he fits right in.
