Captain Damocles

Since I first saw Werner Klocke's sculpts I've been a fan. But I've also had to build up the courage to paint most of his sculpts. Well this year I'm trying to get past that irrational roadblock to my painting and finish the Freebooter (and other) Klocke miniatures that are partially painted. 

This pirate captain needed to be converted to be a Rogue Trader or an Inquisitor or even a Space Pirate. The easiest way to do that was changing his pistol into a space pistol (with part of a plastic Dark Eldar gun) and gave him a couple dangly mechadendrites in his coat, otherwise he's great as he is.  I love his little pipe. 

His base is a UV resin cast scenic bit that also helps bring him more into a sci-fi setting.
