Sniper Soiree- Urban War and Raging Heroes

Last weekend, I planned to do a "Sniper Saturday" or "Sniper Sunday" painting stunt, but then I started spreading my painting focus to the first Raging Heroes Void Elf Hunter and the Reaper Bones Bat Demon along with a few other figures that were not completed. But the snipers were completed.

This guy is an old Viridian sniper for Void 1.1 and/or Urban War (the skirmish version of Void). He is solid chunk of metal without much cleanup needed.

I decided his cloak should be camo rather than a fancy blue or something, The base was chosen because he fit nicely on it and it's a cool sci-fi/Necromunda type of base. His cloak was really the main detail to work on, so I just started making blobs with a few different colors. When all the blobs were done, I went over the gaps between them with a lighter version of the base grey-brown to help the blobs stand out a bit more. I was pretty impressed with how well the camo turned out without looking at any references.

Next, we have another Raging Heroes Iron Empire sniper (the first was painted here). I tried to echo that original paint scheme, but improve on it, or at least make it feel better to my painting brain.

Her base had been waiting to be used for a very long time (picked up from that one awesome booth at an old GenCon). The big partial face seemed like it would take away from various minis I looked at with it over the years.
