Wednesday Wizards 4- Malek the Scrivener
Another Wednesday Wizard! This time it's another of the white Bones figures. This guy was officially just a villager guy, but he's got scrolls and a fancy feather quill pen- he's gotta be a wizard.
There were a couple of very visible mold lines on this one that needed to be carefully cut off to avoid destroying details. I think the cleanup job went pretty well.
I wanted to do some kind of fancy design on his cloak or outfit, but couldn't decide. I first tried some lines near the bottom of his outfit, but they were way too thin and shaky. So obliterated them and went with triangles along the bottom and on the sleeves. They're not bad. And then came the shoes. They're red because who doesn't need some red shoes every now and then? Heck, I'm wearing red shoes as I type this.
The quill made me think of the infamous Black Quill from WarGods of Ægyptus, which almost lef to this guy being painted as some alternate Shefdu Sootootma. I decided against using him as another in the endless line of alternate reality Shefdus from the 'Crisis of Infinite Shefdus' project. Instead, Malek the Scrivener was born.
Here we have Malek with his fellow Wednesday Wizards who've been painted so far. Below, a size comparison with the Iron Kingdoms undead knight and a Cursed City hanging skeleton.
