(A Start To) Wyght Technical Group
A few more Warmachine Cryx minis for use as part of my not-Mechanicus warband. 3 Scrap Thralls (2 with surprisingly easy arm swaps) and a MicroArt Studios not-Mechanicus mini form the start of another Technical Group (the equivalent of a squad, or something- there isn't a lot of planning going on with this not-Mechanicus warband project, just the random whims of kitbashing stuff).
This first Servitor is unmodified because I've loved the look of it since it originally came out. This guy has been sitting on a base, primed, and partially painted for years. I just wasn't sure how I wanted to proceed. When I found another blister pack at the original price ($10 for 3 metal minis? hell yes), I decided I could no longer put off finishing him. I have another copy of this sculpt who has just had the right arm removed and will probably have the left one removed soon. I LOVE that giant power fist...
Now for the first of 'the twins.' I've painted this miniature before- at least an unmodified version of it. I decided to try some converting because I had two other sculpts of this guy. Arm swaps seemed the way to go, so I took off his right arm and gave him this big plasma gun from an olde Void 1.1 Syntha. It was as simple as pinning the arm in place (with some superglue and baking soda to help strengthen the bond). I kind of feel like it looks almost like there was nothing done to him.
The second of 'the twins' got a big metal Hasslefree Miniatures cyber chainsaw arm. His skin and armor are a little different from the gun servitor version, but those are the only real differences. I think they are distinct enough from each other that it's not immediately obvious they're the same mini.
And finally, the guy who was going to be Techpriest leading this group. He's a metal MicroArt Studios 'brothers of the cog' or whatever they were called. Instead of the metal arms that he came with (that he was originally assembled with) I gave him a plastic weapon arm from the vaunted Stargrave Automatons sprue and a metal big hand from some random mini (I'm not as happy with how this hand turned out).

Now for a batch of size comparison pics with the current usual suspects in roughly 28mm. The Warmachine minis are often a little bigger than 28mm, almost 30mm depending on the sculpts, but I think the Scrap Thralls fit in fine with my existing 28mm painted minis.
Below, we find the Wandering Techpriest and his Apprentice bump into this part of the Wyght Group somewhere in the Underhive.
