Tracked Killbot
We're always in need of more random robots designed for killin' stuff, so this is another welcome addition to my killbot arsenal.
This multi-part metal miniature came from a sci-fi miniatures Kickstarter that had a bunch of different robots. I kept putting off assembling it because it seemed like a lot of parts for one robot. Surprisingly, the assembly was pretty easy and everything fit together perfectly. I did not have to break out the pin vise for it.
Some previous killbots had a slightly similar paint scheme (maybe oranges and yellows are regulation killbot colors?) so this guy inadvertently followed that precedent. I used a grey wash over a dark blue to get the tank treads to look a little bit like old rubber.
I thought about giving him a number someplace, but finally decided some white stripes would probably look better and be easier to add. His "visor" area went though a couple of different colors. It was originally just going to match the orange of the rest of the head, but then I decided it should be sort of bluish.
Here we've got a size comparison with some other killbots.
Finally, below, a size comparison with the Primaris Marine, Raging Heroes Jailbird, and Heresy Miniatures Trenchcoat Ganger.
