The Widow Knight

The Villager set of multi-part plastic kit from Wargames Atlantic is a treasure trove when mixed with other Wargames Atlantic kits and other various plastic kits. I've made a few kitbashes that have yet to be painted (and this one who has been painted). I want to get some more things painted before I make any more new crazy conversions.

When I got the Villagers and some other Wargames Atlantic boxes late last year, this was one of the first figures I made. She was inspired by the two minis above from Andrew May/Black Crab Art. I backed a few of their early Kickstarters and love the minis. Sadly, I could not justify backing the Kickstarters these tow minis came in, but I really want both of them. Thus I made an attempt to build something similar to them. I think she turned out pretty good.

For the Widow Knight's colors, I tried to limit the colors I would use. Yellow with checkerboard stripe seemed like a necessity. The red stripes were almost an afterthought, I think they add a little something. Her helmet was intentionally damaged during assembly and I used paint and pigment powders to make some rust effects.

Is the Widow Knight Blanchitsu? She was at least inspired by that style, I hope she looks a little like that.
